Description
The City of Ocala is soliciting construction services for intersection safety and operational improvements at SR 464 and SE 25th Avenue. The work includes minor roadway widening and reconstruction, turn lanes, a marked bicycle lane, sidewalk and ADA improvements, drainage, milling and resurfacing, erosion control, signing, thermoplastic pavement markings, roadway lighting, utility coordination, and traffic signal modifications and equipment installation. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and traffic control; maintain traffic throughout construction; and comply with Florida Department of Transportation standards. Bidders must have at least three years of roadway resurfacing experience, applicable FDOT prequalification in grading, flexible paving, and sidewalk work, and an MOT/TTC Advanced-certified person on site during construction. A five percent bid bond is required, and the prime contractor must perform at least 50% of the work with its own forces. The contract provides for 160 calendar days, with substantial completion within 130 days of the Notice to Proceed and final payment readiness within 30 additional days.
