Description
The City seeks auto repair and preventive maintenance for its municipal passenger vehicles and pickup trucks, including routine maintenance, mechanical repairs, diagnostics, emergency repairs, and recordkeeping. Services cover vehicles used by Public Works and Public Grounds and Facilities; heavy equipment, auto body work, and Police and Fire fleet vehicles are excluded. Service must be initiated within 48 hours after notification by City staff. Proposals must include firm qualifications and references for companies the proposer has served for fleet maintenance, along with the requested labor rates, diagnostic fee, parts markup, and emergency/after-hours rate. The sample agreement provides for annual renewals for up to three consecutive years, after which the City must conduct a formal selection process. The City intends to negotiate with one vendor but may use other vendors as needed; the agreement is non-exclusive and guarantees no minimum amount of work.
