Description
The City and County seek qualified body shops to repair fleet vehicles ranging from light-duty vehicles to medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, including ambulances. Work includes metal and aluminum body and frame repairs, mechanical and electrical repairs, installation of aftermarket parts and emergency equipment, and coordination of vehicle transportation for decals and graphics. Aftermarket parts are required unless the County approves OEM parts in writing. Third-party work is subject to a 10% markup cap and must be itemized in estimates and invoices. Emergency-vehicle repairs should generally be completed within three weeks of estimate approval, and other fleet repairs within five weeks, subject to parts availability and repair scope. The contract is intended for a 12-month term, anticipated January 1 through December 31, 2027. Proposals must include hourly rates for body, paint, mechanical, aluminum, and frame/structural labor, plus pricing for paint supplies, parts discounts, and any miscellaneous fees. Responders must meet stated qualifications, including at least five years of body repair experience, three similar references, capacity to service vehicles up to ambulance size, and a physical location within 25 miles of the County’s specified facility.
