Description
The Keppel Union School District has elected to become subject to the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA). This allows the District to informally bid small construction and maintenance projects. The District is inviting all interested licensed contractors to submit their company information for inclusion on the District's List of Qualified Contractors for Informally Bid Construction Projects during the 2026 calendar year. Contractors must provide their firm's name and address, owner's name and original signature, phone and fax numbers, type of work they are licensed and interested in, license classification and number, Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) registration number, evidence of commercial general liability insurance ($1,000,000 per occurrence and general aggregate) and automobile liability insurance ($1,000,000 combined single limit), evidence of ability to provide payment and performance bonds including bonding capacity, and public works references from the past three years (up to ten projects, including school district work). All contractors must comply with applicable labor compliance requirements under the California Labor Code, including registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
