Description
Fairfax County Public Schools is soliciting proposals from experienced electrical contractors to provide as-needed electrical installation services for portable classroom trailers at various schools, administrative offices, storage locations, and other project sites. The scope includes electrical services connected to existing school power, temporary utility poles, power shed installation and removal, electrical and low-voltage permits, inspections, testing, repairs, and compliance with applicable building and electrical codes. Low-voltage work includes interior and exterior data, telephone, wireless, security, sound, CATV, and fiber cabling; labeling; J-hooks; racks; patch panels; blocks; junction boxes; outlets; connectors; and terminations. The contractor must furnish labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, cleanup, safety measures, and coordination. Estimated annual quantities are 70 to 120 relocated portable classrooms. Appendix G, added through Addendum 1, provides the Master File Temporary Classroom detail drawing and specifications.
