Description
Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES, through the Central New York Regional Information Center, is soliciting bids for Ethernet WAN and telecommunications services for OCM BOCES, participating BOCES, and approximately 50 component school districts. The scope includes 1,296 strands of leased dark fiber, 114 leased lit-fiber connections with capacities from 1 to 25 Gbps, and four Internet access/data transmission connections with capacities from 10 to 50 Gbps. The selected provider(s) must furnish and maintain the network infrastructure, including fiber, conduit, hand holes, poles and attachment hardware, demarcation equipment, installation, testing, maintenance, monitoring, and related construction. Requirements include dedicated Ethernet bandwidth, specified performance and restoration service levels, network diagrams, pricing sheets, exceptions page, and special-construction documentation when applicable. The contract term is 60 months, with a possible extension at the buyer’s option.
