Description
The City of Aubrey is requesting qualifications from qualified CPA firms to audit its financial statements for fiscal year 2025–2026 in accordance with GAAP, Governmental Accounting Standards Board requirements, generally accepted auditing standards, Government Auditing Standards, applicable Single Audit requirements, and Texas requirements. The selected auditor will perform the financial statement audit and related procedures involving supplementary information, federal financial assistance, compliance, and internal controls. Required deliverables include an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and reports addressing financial-statement presentation, compliance, internal controls, applicable laws and regulations, federal financial assistance, and management recommendations. The auditor must provide draft and final printed reports, electronic media, a management letter, and five signed copies plus an electronic PDF of the final report. The engagement is for one fiscal year with four optional annual renewals, for a potential five-year term. Proposals must describe the firm's qualifications, governmental audit experience, assigned personnel, independence, similar engagements, audit approach, and anticipated audit problems, and must include at least five local-government references.
