Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a firm to provide monthly preventive maintenance, repair services, labor, travel, OEM-approved parts, technical support, and related service documentation for government-owned sterilizing and associated medical equipment. The equipment inventory includes steam sterilizers, endoscope reprocessors, glassware washers, probe soak stations, drying and storage cabinets, disinfectors, and related equipment. Technicians must hold OEM certifications for the specified equipment, and the contractor must provide certification or licensing documentation upon request. Services include unlimited telephone technical support, onsite service calls, emergency repairs, quality-assurance testing, field service reports, and all work required by the OEM. The contract includes a base year and four option years, with a possible additional six-month extension under FAR 52.217-8. The opportunity is restricted to certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, and the solicitation requires documentation of similar past contracts, OEM authorization, pricing for all base and option periods, representations and certifications, and the required limitations-on-subcontracting certification.
