Description
The Federal Prison Camp Alderson in Alderson, West Virginia, is looking to procure and install Copeland TempTrak(tm) Enterprise remote temperature monitoring systems. This is a brand-name-only requirement, with no substitutes accepted. Two complete systems are needed: one for the Health Services Department to monitor medication refrigerators, freezers, and controlled storage areas, and another for the Food Service Department to monitor perishable subsistence storage, including refrigerators, freezers, walk-ins, and other temperature-controlled units. All components must be new and installed in accordance with Bureau of Prisons (BOP) IT security requirements and Copeland Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. The required systems include hardware such as wireless temperature monitoring sensors (900 MHz), probes for various environments, mounting hardware, and wiring. Software requirements include TempTrak Enterprise server software or an approved cloud-based deployment, secure data storage, and time-stamped audit trails for regulatory compliance. The monitoring and alerting capabilities must provide real-time temperature tracking, configurable high/low threshold alarms, and automated email/text alerts with 24/7 remote monitoring access. Installation and integration services are also required, encompassing full physical installation, system configuration, network integration under BOP IT security rules, sensor calibration and validation, and initial user training for both Health Services and Food Service staff.
