Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is requesting Standard Form 330 qualification packages from verified service-disabled veteran-owned architectural and engineering firms for an assessment of Building 8 at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center. The work will evaluate deterioration of the concrete roof deck and supporting welded steel bar joists, including crack mapping, water-infiltration evidence, concrete sounding, reinforcement scanning, corrosion inspection, structural viability, and assessment of masonry parapets, brick veneer, mortar joints, and deck-to-parapet interfaces. The selected firm will prepare condition and mitigation maps, identify immediate life-safety concerns and longer-term repair or replacement needs, provide details for stabilization or protective netting where appropriate, recommend follow-up inspections, and prepare general cost estimates for temporary protective measures and reinspection. Deliverables include preliminary layout, 35% design development, final bid documents, conformed drawings if required, and as-built drawings. The anticipated design period is approximately 100 calendar days, including agency reviews; construction-period services are not required. SF 330 submissions, including additional pages, may not exceed 65 pages, and must address professional qualifications, specialized experience, capacity, past performance, estimating effectiveness, and claims, terminations, and litigation.
