Description
The University of Missouri System is soliciting bids for one e-beam evaporator system for use in undergraduate semiconductor engineering courses. The system must support four-pocket deposition of multiple materials without breaking vacuum, accommodate substrates from 1 cm × 1 cm coupons through 6-inch wafers, achieve less than 5% film uniformity across a 6-inch substrate, and provide run-to-run repeatability within ±3%. Required features include substrate rotation and adjustable z-motion, a crystal thickness/rate monitor, a base-pressure target in the 10⁻⁷ Torr range or better, a turbo pump (with a cryopump option), a closed-loop chiller, and a 24-month warranty. Detailed product literature is requested. The bid also provides line items for optional software/hardware, maintenance or service, training, installation, shipping/freight, and a discount. The University may award by item, group of like items, or aggregate, and the contract period is two years from the date of award.
