Description
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation is seeking two new IBM z17-ME2 mainframes with associated hardware components, accessories, installation, initial configuration, and five years of hardware maintenance and support. The requirement includes separate configurations for delivery to the FDIC Division of Information Technology Distribution Center in Arlington, Virginia, and the FDIC Backup Data Center in Carrollton, Texas. IBM must perform physical installation, power-up, and initial configuration, and must de-install and remove the existing end-of-life mainframes at both sites. Maintenance begins at installation or 45 days after delivery, whichever comes first, and includes 12 months of standard manufacturer warranty plus 48 additional months, with standard 24x7 coverage and a four-hour response. Delivery is required by December 31, 2026. Offerors must complete the attached pricing schedule for all mandatory line items and submit Section K representations and certifications, a separate pre-award supply-chain risk management volume using Attachment J-1, and proof of being an authorized IBM reseller/partner or the original equipment manufacturer. Applicable EULAs, MSAs, warranty terms, and GSA Schedule or NASA SEWP contract information must also be included. The amendment extends the quote deadline to October 22, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
