Description
Nipissing University intends to award a single-source contract to an individual consultant to support development of its Canada Research Chairs Program Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Action Plan. The consultant will review internal and external reports, identify barriers affecting potential and current chairholders, develop information-gathering methodology, collect and synthesize stakeholder experiences, prepare a workplace-environment and culture report with recommendations, advise on employment-systems and comparative reviews, and collaborate with the CRC EDI Action Plan working group. The consultant must demonstrate a PhD in a Humanities discipline focused on cultural studies, or equivalent professional and academic experience; in-depth knowledge of the Canada Research Chairs program and EDI requirements; experience developing EDI plans for small institutions; significant Canadian university-sector experience applying equity, diversity, inclusion, decolonial, and intersectional perspectives; familiarity with northern, rural, Indigenous, or marginalized communities; and strong facilitation and written communication skills. The estimated contract value is CAD 20,000. Responses must demonstrate an equivalent or better solution, outline the proposed services, and provide an estimated cost. The notice may lead to an RFP if qualified alternative suppliers respond.
