Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is requesting a quotation for four battery, storage units: NSN 6140-01-457-2602, East Penn Manufacturing Company part number 524MF, described as lead-acid, wet-charged batteries. Delivery is required within 20 days after award, FOB destination, with destination inspection and acceptance. The batteries have a six-month, non-extendable Type I shelf life and are classified as hazardous material for shipping as wet batteries filled with acid. The quotation must address applicable domestic-material restrictions, hazardous-material identification and safety-data requirements, packaging under MIL-STD-2073-1E, marking under MIL-STD-129, and traceable shipment; parcel post is prohibited.
