Description
The City of Geneva is soliciting bids for replacement of a Vulcan RATO-S 331Y coupling at the Geneva Generation Facility. The contractor must disassemble and remove the failed coupling, inspect and clean the coupling flanges and hardware, install the City-provided replacement coupling, align the engine and generator, and reassemble the coupling and accessories in accordance with the applicable manufacturer manuals and instructions. The contractor must provide qualified technicians, alignment tooling, vibration-recording equipment, and other necessary tools. The work includes running the engine to full load and recording vibration readings, submitting work and testing reports in PDF or another suitable format, and providing a one-year warranty against defects in workmanship, materials, and finishes. The City will provide lockout/tagout and generator isolation, and City crews will be available to assist during stated operating hours.
