Description
The South Coast Air Quality Management District is soliciting sealed quotations for four meteorological towers for its ambient air monitoring network. Each tower must provide a telescoping support structure reaching at least 30 feet, support meteorological and air-monitoring sensors, include a manual or electric winch-operated raising and lowering system, use a tilting base and corrosion-resistant aluminum construction, withstand winds up to 70 mph, and support an instrument payload of up to 50 pounds. The quotation must include accessories and specialized tools, operating and service manuals, schematics, calibration reports, spare-parts pricing, delivery information, warranty coverage of at least one year after acceptance testing, and related field-service and spare-parts commitments. Vendors must provide manufacturer qualification information and at least four user references. Optional Zoom training must be itemized. The award will generally favor the lowest-cost fully responsive quotation or best value, with evaluation based on manufacturer qualifications, compliance with specifications, and total cost of ownership.
