Description
The City of Monroe is soliciting construction bids for improvements to the BJ Washington Community Center on Robert Drive. The work is subject to applicable public works contractor licensing, bonding, insurance, employment, and wage requirements. A corporate resolution authorizing the bid signer must accompany bids from corporations. The successful bidder must execute the construction agreement and provide performance and payment bonds after award; mobilization and material procurement must begin within 10 working days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Bids may be submitted in sealed paper form or electronically through QuestCDN after registration. Prime bidders must obtain the bidding documents from Lazenby & Associates, Inc. for a refundable document deposit or request an electronic PDF set. Minority-owned firms and small businesses are encouraged to bid. For CDBG projects only, the successful bidder must submit executed equal employment opportunity, Section 3, and segregated facilities certifications, as well as a Section 3 plan with Tables A and B.
