Description
The U.S. Marine Corps is soliciting commercial barge transportation services to support Keen Sword 27. The contractor must provide a seaworthy, properly manned roll-on/roll-off barge with at least 400 square meters of deck space, transport military vehicles, trailers, containers, and other equipment, secure cargo, and provide all supporting equipment, personnel, maintenance, permits, insurance, fees, and scheduling coordination. The requirement includes four total movements between Naha Military Port and Ie Shima Port: two deployment movements during October 14–20, 2026, and two redeployment movements during November 2–4, 2026. The contractor must coordinate with port authorities and government representatives, manage schedule changes and weather delays, and provide a single point of contact. Quotes must include all line items and vessel information, with shipping costs identified; U.S.-flagged vessels are preferred but not required.
