Description
The Village of Johnsburg is soliciting proposals from qualified, independent, Illinois-licensed certified public accounting firms to audit the Village's financial statements for the fiscal year ending April 30, 2027. The work must comply with generally accepted auditing standards, generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable Governmental Accounting Standards Board standards. The auditor will express an opinion on the financial statements, prepare supplementary information and financial statement notes, assist with the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and related GFOA submission, provide audit adjustments and supporting documentation, and report irregularities or illegal acts. Required deliverables include the ACFR, electronic and printed report copies, applicable State Comptroller and Single Audit reports, and a management letter addressing internal controls. The proposal must describe the firm's qualifications, governmental audit experience, assigned personnel, similar engagements, audit approach, anticipated problems, pricing, and any subcontracting. Attachment A must be completed and signed with pricing for the 2027 audit and optional audits for fiscal years 2028 and 2029. The engagement includes a possible two-year extension at the Village's discretion.
