Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking commercial partners for exclusive or non-exclusive licenses to GetterGauge, a patent-pending hydrogen getter technology identified as LA-UR-26-28528. The technology combines hydrogen capture with a colorimetric indication of remaining capacity, allowing non-destructive visual monitoring inside sealed or vacuum systems. The getter selectively captures hydrogen in the presence of helium, nitrogen, argon, and methane; operates at pressures far below atmospheric; stores up to approximately 1,200 cubic centimeters of hydrogen per gram; functions across a broad temperature range; requires no activation step; and can be shaped for integration with plastics and polymers. The opportunity is for technology licensing and commercialization, not external development services. Applications include nuclear systems, semiconductors, aerospace, medical devices, imaging equipment, and vacuum-insulated products.
