Description
The grant supports eligible Saskatchewan individuals and companies producing and presenting live performing arts projects for paying audiences locally, across Canada, or internationally. Eligible projects may include theatre, dance, stand-up comedy, magic and illusions, spoken word and poetry, miming, puppetry, circus acts, and other staged live-action performances. Funding is available up to $35,000 or 50% of total eligible project expenses, whichever is less, during a fiscal year. Applicants must be active practitioners in a creative industry recognized under The Creative Saskatchewan Act (2013), demonstrate commercial intent and plans to grow their creative business, and be in good standing with Creative Saskatchewan. Eligible applicants may include individuals, corporations, non-profit organizations, collectives, and musician groups, subject to Saskatchewan residency, ownership, establishment, and tax-filing requirements. Political, religious, discriminatory, and advocacy organizations are ineligible.
