Description
The Department of National Defence is seeking a standing offer for secure sanitization, destruction, recycling, and authorized material recovery of classified information technology equipment, telecommunications equipment, electronic components, and information-bearing media. Required methods include shredding and smelting, with processes that prevent data recovery, reconstruction, functional recovery, or unauthorized reuse and that comply with Communications Security Establishment ITSP.40.006 and applicable Government of Canada security requirements. The contractor must collect and transport designated materials from Department of National Defence locations to an authorized facility within 300 km of the National Capital Region, maintain secure chain-of-custody controls, permit designated personnel to witness processing, provide destruction or recovery certificates, and process at least 4,000 kg of electronic material per day. The standing offer has an initial one-year period plus four one-year option periods, with work performed through individual call-ups and pricing submitted per kilogram.
