Description
Correctional Service Canada is seeking a psychologist and backup resource to provide psychological risk assessment services for offenders at multiple correctional institutions and regional treatment centres in Ontario. The work includes conducting interviews and psychological testing, reviewing offender files, preparing comprehensive risk assessment reports and professional opinions, documenting findings, participating in case conferences and consultations, and responding to clarification requests. Services must comply with applicable legislation, professional standards, CSC policies, privacy requirements, and correctional security requirements. The proposed psychologist and backup resource must hold current provincial registration or licensing for autonomous practice, demonstrate qualifying correctional, forensic, clinical, or counselling psychology experience, complete at least ten psychological risk assessments within the past five years, and demonstrate experience with complex cases and differential diagnosis. The contract anticipates up to 120 risk assessments over three years, plus limited grievance, investigation, review-panel, and board-of-investigation support. Reports must be submitted in the required format and within specified timelines, with services generally performed on-site and interviews conducted in person unless CSC approves remote delivery.
