Description
The Air Force Research Laboratory requires one new COMSOL Multiphysics software license with specialized add-ons to support ongoing and future research and development involving complex multiphysics simulations. The requirement also includes maintenance and support in periods not exceeding one year; exact quantities and delivery times are not known in advance. The agency intends to negotiate a sole-source contract because COMSOL is identified as the sole U.S. provider, and the agency states that competing software lacks the required multiphysics coupling capabilities and compatibility with existing models. This is a notice of proposed contract action, not a competitive request for proposals; responsible sources may submit capability statements or proposals demonstrating that competition would benefit the Government.
