Parks Canada Agency is seeking construction services to remove the existing approximately 6-metre wooden signal mast atop Cabot Tower, measure it for replacement in kind, and supply and install a new pressure-treated Class 1 wooden mast. The work includes reuse of existing hardware, replacement of the mast collar, anchor bolts, cables, and swage fittings, repairs to eye-bolt and ring anchors, structural steel and metal fabrication, roofing and waterproofing repairs, flashing, sealants, temporary works, hoisting, scaffolding, demolition, and site restoration. Bidders must submit a two-part bid consisting of an Indigenous Participation Plan and a completed Bid and Acceptance Form. The Indigenous Participation Plan is evaluated at 10% and price at 90%. The work must be completed no later than March 31, 2027, with the construction schedule to be coordinated for the tower's off-season closure. No bid or contract security is required. Post-award insurance requirements include commercial general liability of at least $5,000,000 per occurrence, $10,000,000 annual aggregate where applicable, $5,000,000 products/completed operations aggregate, and builder's risk/installation floater coverage based on the contract value.
