Description
Florence County is soliciting sealed bids for complete demolition and disposal of the abandoned Timmonsville Vocational School. The work includes removal of structures, contents, slabs, walkways, driveways, fences, accessory buildings, underground utilities, buried pipes, and footings; termination and sealing of utility connections; lawful disposal of debris; and asbestos abatement, handling, transportation, and disposal by appropriately licensed and certified personnel. The contractor must also provide permits, temporary facilities, site security, erosion and sediment controls, backfill and compaction, grading for positive drainage, seeding, cleanup, and repair of damage to adjacent property. The project is funded in whole or in part through a Community Development Block Grant and is subject to federal CDBG, Section 3, labor, reporting, and compliance requirements. Work should begin within 30 days of award and be completed within 90 days.
