Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing seeks armored truck transportation for currency and other security products between its facilities and designated government destinations. The contractor must provide personnel, armored vehicles, equipment, fuel, and security measures. Shipments may involve routes in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore region, between Washington, D.C., and Fort Worth, Texas, and to other locations in the continental United States. Monthly service needs may vary, and individual shipments will be ordered through firm-fixed-price calls under a single-award blanket purchase agreement. Vehicles must meet specified size and load requirements, provide secure and weatherproof cargo compartments, and be staffed by two armed guards/drivers. Personnel must meet applicable security screening and facility-access requirements, and drivers must maintain valid commercial driver's licenses and annual training and certification. The solicitation requests four quote volumes: a technical capability and approach narrative, past-performance references, a completed price sheet, and amendment acknowledgment. Technical proposals are limited to three pages; the price sheet must be submitted in Microsoft Excel format.
