Description
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro seeks a vendor to test, inspect, maintain, and repair fixed fire sprinkler systems and related fire protection equipment across 54 academic and facilities buildings. Work must comply with applicable North Carolina and federal codes, State Construction Office requirements, NFPA standards, and OSHA requirements. The vendor must provide the labor, equipment, materials, and supplies needed, document and tag sprinkler risers, and provide comprehensive electronic reports and signed NFPA inspection forms in a bound book. Annual inspections are scheduled across the buildings in December and May, coordinated to minimize interruptions. Repairs require prior University approval and a purchase order; emergency response and on-site response times are specified. The contract has a two-year initial term and up to three one-year renewal options.
