Description
The Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Administration are seeking U.S.-based small and medium-sized businesses interested in manufacturing selected technologies developed by DOE/NNSA laboratories, plants, and sites. The BUILTT pilot uses Cost Reduction Licenses to provide qualified businesses rights to produce specified technologies for a nominal licensing fee, with the goal of supporting sales to government customers at pre-negotiated fair and reasonable prices; commercial sales may also be addressed where applicable. The attached technology list covers a range of potential products and processes, including optical and imaging equipment, sensors, electronic and mechanical components, coatings and materials, chemical production methods, laboratory equipment, and instrumentation-related technologies. Respondents should identify technologies of interest and describe their relevant technical, manufacturing, and government-contracting capabilities. Evaluation may consider facilities, equipment, personnel, experience, quality and regulatory capabilities, and financial and organizational capacity. This is a sources-sought-style market engagement, not a guarantee of a license, purchase order, or contract.
