Description
The United States Navy is seeking to purchase a new knee mill to expand testing capabilities at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The requirement includes the delivery, installation, and calibration of the machine. The machine must be capable of fitting through a doorway with dimensions of 58 inches wide by 82 inches high upon delivery. The solicitation specifies a 12-month warranty on manufacturing defects, with an expectation of 1-day installation and training by a manufacturer's engineer. The contractor will also be expected to perform yearly calibrations after installation. The requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside and will be evaluated on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis.
