Description
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission, through Procurement and Contracting Services, is soliciting competitive bids for repair and maintenance of Becton, Dickinson and Company BACTEC MGIT 960 equipment used for high-volume mycobacteria growth, detection, and susceptibility testing. The scope covers serial numbers MG4900 and MG7870 and includes a five-day preventive-maintenance service beginning at award, one preventive-maintenance visit during the service period, necessary cleaning, adjustments, parts installation, software updates, technical support, and repair services. Technicians must be trained and certified by the original equipment manufacturer to service and repair Becton, Dickinson and Company equipment, and the contractor must provide OEM certification. Service calls generally require a response within 24 hours, repairs within five business days, and emergency on-site response within 24 hours. The initial contract term is September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027, with a possible one-year extension. Bidders must submit pricing, affirmations, references and qualifications, and the required OEM certification, with insurance documentation required before contract execution if requested.
