Description
The City seeks a contractor to provide the materials, equipment, labor, and supervision needed to construct a new central fire station. Work includes building construction; site preparation and grading; concrete paving, sidewalks, parking, and an aggregate drive; water, sewer, and gas services; a generator pad; signage; and related work required for a complete project. The contractor is responsible for required permits, licenses, bonds, and insurance in accordance with the plans and specifications. This is a re-bid, and bidders must use the current re-bid drawings and specifications and any issued addenda. A bid must include a bid bond or cashier’s check equal to 5% of the total bid. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds and maintain active SAM.gov registration, including a UEI, before construction begins. The contractor must begin mobilization and procurement of materials within 10 working days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. A mandatory pre-bid conference is required for prospective prime bidders; failure to attend the entire conference prohibits submission.
