Description
The Republic Volunteer Fire Department is offering a scholarship to graduating students from certified schools within FP#13 who have maintained at least a 3.0 high school GPA and plan to attend a college, business school, vocational school, or other institution of higher learning. Applicants must submit the attached application, high school transcripts, letters of acceptance, a personal narrative addressing their activities, employment, career objectives, and reasons for deserving the award, and recommendations from non-family members. Scholarship criteria include academic ability, motivation, extracurricular participation, and potential to succeed in the applicant’s chosen field. The award is announced at graduation ceremonies and paid to the recipient’s financial aid office after enrollment is verified.
