Description
University City is soliciting sealed bids for the Kempland Place Bridge Project, including removal of the existing bridge over River Des Peres and associated pavement, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, and storm sewers. The replacement work includes excavations, bridge end bents, steel pile driving, bridge construction using steel or prestressed concrete beams, pedestrian fencing, stormwater pipes and inlets, asphalt pavement, striping, paved approaches, and related incidental work. A bid security equal to 5% of the bid amount is required. Contractors must have a responsive contractor questionnaire on file with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission at least seven days before bid opening and must be listed on MoDOT's Qualified Contractor List. The DBE contract goal is 0%, and the successful contractor and applicable subcontractors must provide a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program for on-site employees within 60 days of beginning work.
