Description
The New Mexico Department of Transportation is soliciting proposals for engineering consultant services for approximately six miles of I-25 from Canoncito to Glorieta, Milepost 294.00 to Milepost 300.00, in Santa Fe County. The scope includes Phase I bridge type selection, environmental documentation and processing, preliminary design, and Phase II final design. Required work may include roadway and pavement rehabilitation, shoulders, drainage, bridge reconstruction or preservation, ramp modifications, safety improvements, surveying and mapping, right-of-way activities, geotechnical and foundation reports, traffic control, environmental and cultural-resource investigations, public involvement, utility coordination, erosion and sediment control, bridge design, and intelligent transportation systems design. The selected consultant must develop the project from preliminary concepts through construction-ready plans and provide reports, estimates, design reviews, contract documents, and electronic design data. The project is federally funded through the Federal Highway Administration. Offerors must demonstrate relevant highway design experience, provide a detailed work plan and schedule, identify qualified New Mexico-licensed professional engineers and surveyors, submit past-project references, and comply with NMDOT overhead-rate eligibility requirements. Subcontractors are permitted with Department approval, but the prime contractor remains responsible for the full performance of the contract.
