Description
The City of Houston is purchasing 40 new, current-production handheld YSI Pro20i dissolved oxygen meters, manufacturer part number 607125, or City-approved equivalents. Each meter must include a 4-meter integral non-detachable cable, 2003 polarographic sensor kit, dissolved oxygen measurement range of 0–50 mg/L with selectable 0.01 or 0.1 resolution, temperature range of 23–131°F (-5–55°C) with 0.1 resolution, and two alkaline C-cells. Equivalent products must include specific explanations of each deviation or substitution; blanket equivalency statements are insufficient. The bidder must have demonstrated the proposed unit before the bid date and maintain a fully stocked parts and service facility within 50 miles of the City of Houston. Delivery includes one operations and maintenance manual, suitable packaging and off-loading capability, and coordination with City staff. The unit is subject to an 18-month-from-shipment or 12-month-from-start-up warranty, whichever is shorter, covering 100% of parts and labor, unless the manufacturer's warranty is longer.
