Description
The United Nations Development Programme is seeking an individual consultant to oversee the establishment and operation of up to eight debris and waste recycling or material-production centers. Responsibilities include coordinating training on crushing, block production, plastic processing, equipment maintenance, and occupational safety; supporting value-added product innovation; guiding community-based enterprise development, marketing, financial planning, and market linkages; and monitoring environmental and occupational health and safety compliance. The consultant will prepare business plans, operational guidelines, monthly and quarterly reports, compliance documentation, and a final activity summary. The assignment is a six-month, lump-sum engagement with six deliverables and payment tied to certified outputs. The consultant must be physically present in Mandalay, travel to Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, and submit reports and presentations electronically in English.
