Description
The National Park Foundation (NPF) is seeking Letters of Interest (LOI) for the second year of its Partner Housing Catalyst Program. This program aims to identify, support, and accelerate partner-led projects that address critical workforce housing shortages in and around national parks. Approximately $10 million in NPF private funding is available to support these initiatives, encouraging community involvement and additional philanthropic investment. The program welcomes LOIs for projects of any size or development stage, from conceptual ideas to shovel-ready initiatives. NPF acknowledges that housing solutions will vary by location and encourages diverse approaches. The goal is to increase the availability of National Park Service (NPS) workforce housing, either directly or indirectly. Only nonprofit organizations are eligible to receive grant funds, and they must execute the project. For-profit organizations are not eligible. Grant amounts will be determined by NPS/NPF reviews, project need, readiness, and effectiveness, with no current cap. In 2026, NPF aims to deploy $10 million, with individual grants ranging from $5,000 to $1 million+. Two types of grants will be offered: Direct Investment (estimated $250,000+) for construction and/or acquisition, and Project Development (estimated range $5,000-$250,000) for planning, design, due diligence, and feasibility studies.
