Description
This solicitation is for the procurement of a CONTROLLER. The government requires that any offered items meet all contract requirements, and contractors must be authorized distributors of the original manufacturer's item. Proof of authorization, signed by a responsible company official on company letterhead, must be submitted with the offer. Government source inspection is required, and accelerated delivery is encouraged and accepted. The contract will include requirements for manufacture and quality assurance for the CONTROLLER. Marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-130, REV N, 16 NOV 2012. Changes in design, material, servicing, or part number must be processed with notification and approval from the NAVICP-MECH Contracting Officer. Packaging shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-2073 and as specified in the schedule. This solicitation is issued pursuant to Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities (EAF). The government intends to add an option quantity to the resultant contract, allowing for an increase in the quantity of supplies at the unit price specified. Traceability is crucial; if the offeror is not the manufacturer, a letter or official email from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) confirming authorized distributorship is mandatory.
