Description
The City of Lake Wales is soliciting proposals from qualified general contractors for the construction and enhancement of approximately 0.56 miles of asphalt trail and associated improvements. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, inspections, supervision, mobilization, subcontractor coordination, construction administration, grant-compliance support, project records, and close-out documentation. The work includes asphalt paving, base course, stabilized subgrade, grading and drainage, utilities, stormwater pollution prevention, and coordination with other park contractors and facilities. The solicitation package includes construction drawings and specifications, federal and state grant provisions, Davis-Bacon labor standards, Buy America requirements, FHWA and FDOT contract provisions, DBE-related nondiscrimination provisions, and related general conditions and agreement forms. Proposals must include the completed proposal form and required affidavits and acknowledgments, with one original, four hard copies, and one electronic PDF copy on a USB drive. The original must be signed in blue ink, and the fee proposal must be submitted in a separate envelope.
