Description
The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library is requesting proposals for a multi-year lease of lit network capacity providing eligible standalone data transmission service between 26 library locations and the Library’s network head-end at 2450 N. Meridian Street. The scope requires Layer 2 Ethernet connections, minimum speeds of 1 Gbps at branch locations and 10 Gbps at two hub locations, with options to increase speeds during the contract term. Wireless and satellite delivery are not accepted; service must be delivered over fiber. The selected vendor must provide and install necessary equipment, cabling, connections, power extensions, permits, trenching, conduit, and building entrances, and maintain connectivity through the Library’s switches. Requirements include maximum one-way latency of 20 milliseconds, 24/7/365 telephone support, technician dispatch within four hours of a reported failure, outage updates, monitoring and notification procedures, and service credits for extended outages. Proposals must include detailed service descriptions, implementation timelines, recurring and nonrecurring pricing, a proposed service-level agreement, two similar client references, the vendor’s E-Rate SPIN number, and a sample contract incorporating the stated E-Rate contingencies.
