Description
This invitation for bid covers replacement of fire alarm systems in 37 buildings at Farmington Correctional Center and installation of a new system in the Carpentry Shop. The work includes demolition and removal of obsolete fire alarm equipment, installation of addressable fire alarm control panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, wiring, conduit, interfaces with building systems, and a graphics annunciator workstation in Building 12. The campus fiber network connection is owner-furnished and owner-installed. The project must be phased while the correctional center remains operational. Each building phase must be completed, tested, operational, and accepted before proceeding to another phase, with work substantially complete within 12 months of construction commencement. The base bid includes the primary buildings, with four alternates covering additional buildings. Bidders must submit the owner-provided bid and unit-price forms, applicable MBE/WBE/SDVE documentation, work authorization affidavit, and Israel certification form. A 5% bid bond is required, and the successful contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and required insurance before contract execution or notice to proceed.
