NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego is conducting a sources-sought market survey to identify capable small businesses for refurbishment of 23 material-handling equipment assets supporting USS America. The draft scope covers 13 electric forklifts, two rough-terrain forklifts, and six LiftKing forklifts. Work includes inspection, repair and overhaul, corrosion treatment and repainting, tire and fork work, hydraulic and electrical repairs, battery load testing, operational and rated-load testing, and weight-handling certification. Genuine OEM or equivalent replacement parts are required; battery replacement or rebuild, powder coating, and replacement procurement for equipment deemed beyond economical repair or beyond maintenance capability are excluded. Work is to be performed at the contractor’s facility within San Diego County, with the assets returned to government-designated storage. The anticipated contract is firm-fixed-price, with a 180-business-day performance period beginning at first asset induction, excluding repair-parts procurement time. Interested businesses are asked to submit a capability statement of no more than five pages, including corporate information and one to three relevant experience citations. This notice is for market research only and is not a solicitation or an offer to award a contract.
