Description
The City of Spring Lake Park is requesting proposals from qualified certified public accounting firms to perform independent annual audits for fiscal years ending December 31, 2026, through December 31, 2030, with up to five additional one-year extensions through fiscal year 2035. Services include audits of the City's financial statements; Government Auditing Standards reporting; Minnesota legal compliance reporting; preparation of the City's complete annual financial statement report; assistance with Minnesota Office of the State Auditor filings; management communications and recommendations; and presentation of audit results to the City Council. When required, the selected firm must also perform Single Audit services for federal awards, including applicable compliance and internal-control reporting and Federal Audit Clearinghouse assistance. Proposals must address governmental audit experience, the proposed engagement team, audit approach and schedule, references, peer-review and regulatory history, information-security practices, and an all-inclusive fee proposal. The engagement may include hybrid on-site and remote work, but the proposer must describe its anticipated work location and technology approach.
