This solicitation seeks the manufacture and supply of 1-inch NPS union assemblies in accordance with Naval Ship Systems Command Drawing 803-1385946. The three pieces—thread piece, union nut, and tail piece—must be made from UNS C92200 or UNS C90300 bronze. Welding is prohibited on these materials, and each fitting must be marked with its pressure rating. The assemblies require quantitative chemical and mechanical material analysis, hydrostatic testing, and underwater or soapsuds testing, with certifications and traceability maintained from raw material through the finished item. The material is designated Special Emphasis Material (Level I) for use in a critical shipboard system. The contractor must maintain a compliant quality system and calibration controls, provide inspection and test records, and support government source inspection. Certification data is submitted for review and acceptance before shipment; final delivery is due within 365 days after the resulting contract's effective date. The amendment updates the quantity and changes the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard DODAAC to N50286.
