Description
The State of Michigan is soliciting a multi-shaft, low-speed, high-torque industrial shredding system powered between 40 and 60 HP. The system must securely process paper, small plastics, uniforms, Kevlar, and limited metal objects; support safe manual feeding without conveyors; and operate within existing facility constraints. The solicitation requires interchangeable sizing screens for defined particle sizes and operation without screens for larger or more rigid materials. The proposal must include technical specifications, available system drawings or brochures, electrical requirements, compatible screen sizes and pricing, an installation quote, warranty documentation, a recommended maintenance schedule, and any applicable tariff costs. Installation pricing must account for delivery, setup, and on-site training. The State also requires bidders to identify deviations from the specifications and provide an insurance certificate before purchase-order issuance.
