Description
The City of Ames is soliciting quotes for cable and wire to support its Electric Services department. The solicitation includes specifications for 600-volt underground copper cable (Type XLPE USE-2 or RHH/RHW-2) suitable for direct burial applications, and 15kV-class jacketed, concentric neutral, EPR insulated aluminum conductor underground residential distribution (URD) cables. Bidders are required to provide manufacturer specifications and certified test reports for the requested materials. Pricing should be quoted FOB Destination, including all freight and delivery charges. The City reserves the right to award based on responsiveness, price, and availability, and may consider contract administration costs for multiple awards.
