Description
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation seeks a single concessionaire to operate seasonal food, beverage, retail, and paddle sports rental services. The operator will provide daily service from the Friday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, with minimum hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Menus must offer varied, healthy options; alcohol, firewood, and bagged ice sales are prohibited. Paddle sports rentals must be staffed, and rental boats must be maintained safely and equipped with required safety gear. The concessionaire may use State-owned boats and may supplement them with its own equipment. The licensee is responsible for operating costs, maintenance, staffing, customer service, required permits, a compliant point-of-sale system, and a percentage-based license fee of at least 5% of gross receipts. The proposal must include a business plan and pro forma, operations and maintenance plans, sample menus and inventories with pricing, marketing plans, key personnel qualifications, relevant experience, at least three current references, and evidence of financial capacity. The license term is three years, with a possible extension of up to two additional years.
