Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, requires screening and servicing of 16 TACDS units, including battery replacement, factory resets, and firmware updates. The batteries require replacement every five years to keep the units suitable for fleet use. The anticipated value is $44,800. The notice states that General Dynamics Mission Systems is the only source currently capable of performing the required work because its units are qualified for use in the existing platform. This is a special notice, not a request for competitive proposals; interested parties may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations for market research, and the Government retains discretion over whether to compete the requirement.
