Description
The City of Portageville is soliciting sealed bids for rehabilitation and cleaning of Water Plant Wells Nos. 6, 9, and 10. The work requires a high-velocity well redevelopment process using mechanical agitation, controlled injection and surging, and approved chemical treatment to remove mineral scale, biological fouling, and other deposits from the well screens, gravel packs, and adjacent formations. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, treatment chemicals, waste handling, disinfection, and testing necessary to restore the wells to service and maximize production capacity. Chemicals must be certified for potable-water applications where required. The project is subject to prevailing-wage, Davis-Bacon, federal equal-employment, nondiscrimination, debarment and suspension, anti-lobbying, and construction-safety-training requirements. The advertisement encourages participation by MBE, WBE, and Section 3-DBR bidders.
